A Berwick women and a Fitzroy North man have been charged with drug-related offences after a random vehicle intercept in Ferntree Gully.
Police intercepted the vehicle near a gaming venue on Burwood Highway, about 11.55pm Monday 13 March.
Police say the male driver of the car got out and started walking towards the venue.
Officers spoke to the man and his behaviour led them to conduct a search of his car.
The search of the car allegedly uncovered a significant quantity of drugs, believed to be ice, and a large quantity of cash.
A 22-year-old man a 31-year-old woman were arrested and charged with trafficking a drug of dependence, possessing a drug of dependence and possessing proceeds of crime.
The woman was bailed to appear at Ringwood Magistrates’ Court on 20 September and the man bailed to appear at Broadmeadows Magistrates’ Court on 21 April.
