A colourful festival of love united community members from all walks of life.
About 250 people of all ages and backgrounds came together at the Holi festival on Saturday 11 March.
The Hindu event signifies the victory of good over evil and the arrival of spring in the northern hemisphere.
Holi participants covered each other with dry powders in an array of colours, and also engaged in a mass water fight at PB Ronald Park.
The Indian Association Cardinia Casey hosted the Pakenham event, which also included a live DJ and “more food than you could eat”.
Organiser Aanchal Meshram said numbers exceeded expectations and participants had a ball.
“We had a very positive response from the community who said we should keep doing the event,” she said.
“We feel it’s going to be much bigger next year.”
