A Berwick private school was evacuated briefly on 31 March following a small fire.
Fire crews were called to Haileybury on High Street at 9.50am after reports of a minor fire in the school’s hall.
Firefighters from four trucks were able to bring the vent fire, contained to an air handling system, under control in 20 minutes.
Haileybury head of campus Jeanette Rawlings said all students, staff and parents were evacuated efficiently and safely as a precautionary measure.
“The emergency services responded immediately and students quickly returned to class,” Ms Rawlings said.
A CFA spokesperson said there was no threat to any people or nearby buildings.
