Vehicle swerves to avoid pram in street

Police are appealing for witnesses after a baby in a pram ended up in the path of traffic on a road in Pakenham.
Witnesses told police that a pram carrying a two-month-old baby was pushed across the road on Oaklands Way, near the intersection of Hartland Circuit, on Sunday 21 May between noon and 12.30pm.
A car, believed to be a white Ford Falcon or similar, swerved and managed to avoid the pram in its path.
No one was injured during the incident.
Police who attended the scene said a woman, who was with the baby, was taken to hospital for a mental health assessment before being interviewed by police regarding conduct endangering life.
Investigations into the incident are continuing and police are appealing for the driver of the vehicle or people who may have witnessed the incident to come forward.
