Top honour for Peter Rowse

Warragul's Peter Rowse has been awarded an OAM in this year's Queen's Birthday honours.

Medal of the Order of Australia recipient Peter Rowse has long been involved in his local community, holding various roles in Christian church organisations.
The Warragul man was formally recognised for his community efforts during this year’s Queen’s Birthday Honours.
Mr Rowse has held many positions over the years, including Vice-Chair of Belgrave Heights Convention for 25 years, National Chairman of OAC (Outreach and Church) Ministries for 12 years and as a member of the Australian Advisory Council since 1964, among others.
A keen farmer and horticulturalist, Mr Rowse has also played an integral part in the Gippsland horticultural industry, as a life member of Gippsland Field Days.
He was also president of the executive committee of the Australian International Flower and Garden Show for four years, and a committee member for 10 years.
