Seven injured after Tynong pile-up

SEVEN people have been injured in a huge pile-up on the Princes Freeway near Tynong on Thursday night.

A van was turning onto the thoroughfare near Tynong North about 11pm when it was hit by a car and flipped onto its side.

According to police, a third car then ploughed into both vehicles and a barrier.

All of those involved were treated by paramedics at the scene, and two were rushed to the Alfred Hospital.

Ambulance Victoria said a man and a woman remain in a serious condition.

Further enquiries are being made in relation to the cause of the collision.
