Back for its fifth year, Beyond The Valley has today announced its first artist line-up for 2018.

This year will mark the music festival’s fourth consecutive stint amongst the lush and rolling hills of Lardner Park.

Despite some teething problems at the Warragul venue, with issues such as shade, water accessibility and camping next to cars plaguing the earlier events, the festival organisers are confident this year will be the “finest NYE celebration to date.”

Taking place across four days from 28 December 2018 through to the early hours of January 1 2019, this years’ line-up boasts internationally acclaimed artists, such as The Kooks, Bonobo and PNAU.

Over 2016/17, Pakenham-based band Stonefox was invited to perform at the 10000-plus capacity festival.

The south-east trio enjoyed the comforts of the artist’s reserve area – which included ping-pong tables and Mario Kart, and the perks of being transported around the 300-acre venue in a golf buggy.

“It was a great to see so many people enjoying music they love; it was a real highlight to be able to play at a festival like that,” band guitarist Tim Carroll said.

“We were lucky to have had our own dressing room and see what goes on behind the scenes.

“We got to mingle with and be around artists that we listened to growing up and who have influenced our own music.

“To be included in all of that was pretty special.”

Tickets will go on sale 12pm on Thursday 30 August.
