Registrations are now open for Together We Can’s 2018 Leadership Summit.

Leaders working in and for Cardinia Shire are invited to attend the summit, as well as people with an interest in driving change to attitudes towards family violence.

“This is important because children and women exposed to and at risk of violence need our most prominent and influential leaders to band together and drive some real change,” TWC facilitator Fiona Cost said.

“It is time to be bold, be brave, be creative and innovative and to put our ideas of preventing violence and creating awareness into practice – together.

“We also ask that you invite three of your most influential contacts working or living in Cardinia Shire to register and attend.”

There is a maximum of 200 places available at the summit.

Members of all community sectors are encouraged to attend, including businesses, philanthropists, governments, sport, health, faith, cultural, community, youth and educational leaders.

The event will feature guest speaker Annika McCaffrey, a young person with a lived experience of family violence and a youth advocate for children and young people, and Professor Ann Taket, Chair in Health and Social Exclusion at Deakin University.

The summit will take place on 11 October, 9.30am to 3pm at Cardinia Cultural Centre, Lakeside Boulevard Pakenham.

Free registrations can be made by searching Together We Can 2018 Leadership Summit on Eventbrite.
