The Lakeside Sailing Club topped their turnout record at their annual Discover Sailing Day on Sunday 28 October.
Held in Lakeside, the free event attracted just over 100 participants and aimed to welcome community members to the world of sailing.
Open to people of all abilities from the age of six upwards, the event ran all day from 10am onwards.
All boats and safety equipment were provided by the club on the day.
“We registered 101 sailing participants on Sunday – a fantastic response to my shop flyers and flute boards distributed around the district,” club Commodore Stewart Baker said.
“The ages ranged from six years up to around 50 which we hope will generate interest for families to join our membership program.”
