Man airlifted after Pakenham crash

A young man has been airlifted to hospital with life threatening injuries after a car collided with his motorbike on Friday 2 November.

It is believed a motorcycle was travelling west bound on Princes Highway when a vehicle travelling east performed a u-turn at Ahern Road and collided with the motorbike about 6.50am.

The rider of the motorbike, a 28-year-old Pakenham man has been airlifted to hospital with life threatening injuries.

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are at the scene and the road is expected to be closed for some time while investigators examine the scene.

The driver of the vehicle, a 22-year-old woman, was uninjured and is assisting police with their enquiries.
