Police are turning to the community for information after a man was assaulted in Pakenham on the evening of Tuesday 6 November.
Investigators have been told the man, who was walking along John Street about 7pm, was approached by a group of males, perceived to be African in appearance who assaulted him and stole his mobile phone.
The 24-year-old victim sustained non-life threatening injuries and was treated by paramedics at the scene.
