Fence fire probe

By Kyra Gillespie

Emergency crews responded to a spate of fence fires along Henry Road and Webster Way in the early hours of Thursday 28 February.

Firefighters and police attended the incident just before 2.30am where there were three fires, around 400 metres apart, along a fence backing onto residential properties.

A CFA spokesperson said the fires were all brought under control by 4am, after which police took over and guarded the area.

While there were no houses damaged, one shed on a Pakenham property was destroyed by the flames.

Police are treating the fires as suspicious and are urging anyone with information to contact Pakenham Police on 59452500 or Crime Stoppers.
