Firefighters are currently responding to multiple fires as a result of lightning in the Bunyip State Park.
A band of lightning has just moved through the area. A watch and act message from VicEmergency has just been issued for Gembrook, Whites Corner.
The fire is near the Gilwell Park Scout Park. There is also a fire at Gembrook Road, Gembrook that is not yet under control.The bushfire is travelling in a north-westerly direction towards Gembrook.
Forest Fire Management and CFA are out investigating near Gembrook-Launching Place Road, Gembrook.
Smoke will be visible from nearby communities and roads.
