A man was stabbed following an altercation with an unknown man in Kooweerup at about 1pm on 29 March.
The 48-year-old received stab wounds to his upper body and was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Cardinia Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating the incident which occurred in Sybella Avenue.
Detectives have released computer-generated images of a man in the hope he may be identified.
