Members of Pakenham Lions Club and Need for Feed will star in the popular TV cooking show MasterChef tonight at 7.30pm.

In late December, Channel 10’s MasterChef invited local farmers who Need for Feed had already delivered to, or were on the list to receive assistance and filmed an outdoor service challenge with them.

About 140 Farmers, 25 Need for Feed volunteers, and Pakenham Lions Club members Graeme Cockerell and Claire Johnston feature in the episode to taste and judge the MasterChef contestant’s food.

Need for Feed and Pakenham Lions Club organised for several trucks to transport hay to the farm where the show was filmed.

“The filming was a long drawn-out process. The producers filmed the trucks with the hay for the last bit of the journey,” Mr Cockerell said.

“The trucks weren’t allowed to arrive until it was all set up and the contestants were cooking.”
