Two boys, aged 12 and 14, were arrested and charged with 26 offences following a string of burglaries during the early hours of Sunday 3 June.
Between 1am and 2am there were 12 burglaries in the Pakenham area on a number of commercial premises.
During the burglaries about $1500 in cash was stolen and it is estimated that in excess of $10,000 of property was damaged.
Pakenham police and Protective Service Officers on duty at the time responded quickly and managed to locate one of the alleged offenders.
The 14-year-old Pakenham boy was arrested and charged with 26 offences.
He has been remanded to appear before the Dandenong Children’s Court.
On Monday, Cardinia Crime Investigation Unit made a further arrest in relation to the incidents.
The 12-year-old Pakenham boy was also charged with 26 offences and was bailed to appear before Dandenong Children’s Court.
