Police investigate serious crash

Police investigations are ongoing following a serious car crash involving a Pakenham man on Saturday.

Police and emergency services responded to reports of a crash in Oakleigh East at about 1.40am.

Investigators were told the dark-coloured Nissan sedan was travelling east on Dandenong Road when it’s believed the driver did a U-turn near the Clayton Road intersection.

The driver then lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a tree.

The driver of the vehicle, a 26-year-old Cranbourne North man was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

His 32-year-old male passenger from Pakenham was taken to hospital for observation.

The exact cause of the crash is yet to be determined and the investigation remains ongoing.
