A Pakenham Chiropractor will waive fees for an entire day and instead ask patients to make charitable donations.

True Potential Chiropractic are all set to hold their annual Christmas charity day on Thursday 19 December, with all four doctors providing free adjustments for patients.

True Potential has held the charity days for the last seven years, previously supporting organisations including the 4Cs and Back Packs 4 Kids.

In lieu of payment, patients on the day are asked to donate non-perishable food, goods or toiletries which will this year be donated to the Mums Supporting Families In Need (MSFIN) charity.

The fully-volunteer run organisation assists struggling Victorian families by providing new and second hand material aid such as cots, car seats, prams, clothing, shoes, linen and more.

“We were told of the great work that MSFIN does by one of our patients that had previously been involved in fundraising for the charity and saw the fantastic work they do,” a True Potential spokeswoman said.

The annual day has become so popular with staff who said it was “fabulous” to see the community give generously.

“It was a way of involving all our wonderful team and patients in a charitable way for Christmas,” the spokeswoman said.

“It’s become an annual event that so many of our patients love to support and it’s a terrific way for us to finish for the year.

“It really is fabulous to see such generosity.”

Some appointments are still available on 19 December, with patients asked to book online via the True Potential website or by calling the clinic on 5941 2616.
