A series of burglaries throughout the Cardinia area resulted in a stolen car and phones on Wednesday 18 March.
The first incident was when police observed a man driving a stolen vehicle in a dangerous manner – but at the time, they were unable to pursue the dangerous driver.
The driver was then involved in an accident while he was attempting to discard the vehicle.
His female accomplice was arrested at the scene, while the man fled on foot.
Stolen property was recovered from the vehicle.
A short time later, police caught the man committing another burglary and he was finally arrested.
He returned a positive breath test reading of .122 to add to his list of charges.
