Banned drug-driver caught speeding

Cardinia Highway Patrol officers detected a man speeding down the Princes Freeway in Officer South on Thursday night.

A 26-year-older driver has had his car impounded after travelling 144km/h in a 100 zone.

Cardinia Highway Patrol officers detected the man speeding down the Princes Freeway in Officer South at night on Thursday 23 April.

A drug test was conducted on the driver which came back positive for illicit substances in his system. The man was also found to be unlicensed.

His vehicle has been impounded for a month at a cost of $895 and he will face court at a later date.
