For those who like their caffeine fix with a side of social distancing, Gloria Jean’s Pakenham Drive Thru is happy to help.

The Pakenham site, located off Kooweerup Road next to 7/11, is one of only a few drive through Gloria Jean’s stores in Melbourne.

According to the owners, Saad Bashir and his wife Esha Akhund, drive through sales have increased since the pandemic began as customers seek out their morning (or afternoon, or evening) joe from the familiar comfort of their own surroundings.

It’s quick too, with turnaround times of just four minutes per order.

Gloria Jean’s Pakenham also offers Uber Eats, so customers don’t even have to leave their home for their coffee.

But as restrictions lift and locals stretch their legs, they’re more than welcome to drop in to the store in person.

Food and drinks are available as takeaway only, with a limit of five people in store at one time.

Saad said the Pakenham store is also still offering a full food menu, unlike some other Gloria Jean’s locations.

In fact, a few new items have been released, including vegetarian and pizza toasties. Gluten free options are also available.

Gloria Jean’s caters for the whole family, with little ones loving the Kids Meal Box, which even includes a surprise toy!

Customers who work in medical services are treated to 20 percent off their order – not just during Covid-19, but all the time, as a thank you for their vital work.

Saad said his staff have gotten to know their loyal customer base pretty well – so when you visit, they’ll already have your order on the go.

“We have a loyal customer base and we know their names and orders,” he said.

“It’s a friendly environment and my staff are really good at what they do.”

For convenience, care and good coffee, visit Gloria Jean’s Pakenham Drive Thru at 1280 Kooweerup Road from 5.30am-7pm on weekdays, 6am-7pm on Saturdays and 7am-6pm on Sundays.
