Pair busted in drug investigation

Two people have been arrested after police raided a Pakenham property as part of an ongoing drug trafficking investigation.

Members from the Divisional Response Unit executed a warrant at a Pine Way property at about 6am on Tuesday 17 November.

Illicit drugs including methylamphetamine, GHB and cannabis were seized by officers, who also found a firearm, cash and allegedly stolen goods on the property.

Two Pakenham men, a 38-year-old and a 47-year-old, were both arrested at the scene and were transported to the Pakenham police station to be interviewed.

The pair have since been charged with drug and property offences.

A second man was arrested.

They were bailed and are expected to front the Dandenong Magistrates Court on 8 April next year.

In a Facebook statement, Victoria Police said the investigation is ongoing and further arrests were expected.
