Cardinia Shire’s younger residents will once again have a space to call their own, with My Place, a youth centre in Pakenham, set to reopen on Monday 23 November.

Cardinia Shire Council was pleased to announce that My Place will resume operations from next week after it was closed due to Covid-19 restrictions.

The centre will open with new operating hours – from 1.30pm to 5pm from Monday to Thursday.

Services available at My Place include information and support, referrals to external support services as required, a program room with activities for young people and an internet café with availability is limited due to Covid-19 restrictions.

My Place, located in Main Street, is a free service for people aged 12-24 years in the Cardinia Shire.

The centre will be open until 17 December when it closes for the festive season.

Watch the Cardinia Youth Services Facebook page for an announcement about 2021 opening dates.

State Government Covid-19 restrictions and guidelines will be in place and must be adhered to at the centre.

Young people can also get support from the council’s Youth Services team over the phone.

Contact the team during business hours, 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, on 1800 496 884 or by email myplace@cardinia.vic.gov.au.
