Two people have died in separate car accidents only hours apart on Cardinia Shire roads overnight.
The first occurred in Lang Lang around 6.45pm Wednesday 5 May when police said a white Nissan Patrol travelling on the wrong side of the South Gippsland Highway collided with a car.
The driver of the car, a 60-year-old man from Kilcunda, sadly died at the scene.
The driver of the Nissan, a 32-year-old man from Kooweerup, was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Then at 2am Thursday 6 May police were called to Ballarto Road Cardinia where a Ford Territory was spotted crashed into a ditch.
Sadly, police said the driver from the crashed car was thrown from the vehicle and died at the scene.
