Covid rule breakers

Cardinia Highway Patrol has caught a vehicle in Bunyip breaking Covid-19 restrictions as part of Operation Guardian, enforcing regional border restrictions.

Three men were travelling from the metro northern suburbs travelling to Sale, when they were stopped by police on Monday 13 September.

The probationary driver of the vehicle allegedly tested positive to cannabis, was not displaying red ‘P’ plates and carrying more one peer passenger.

His licence was suspended for six months and issued with further infringements in relation to traffic matters.

Each were issued with fines of $5452 for breaching Chief Health Officer directions.
