Cardinia Shire Council has moved the Ageing Well Seniors Festival online for 2021.

The festival will include online seminars on enjoying retirement, family history for beginners, staying connected to loved ones through social media and navigating homecare.

Greg Gebhart from the Office of ESafety Commissioner is presenting a seminar on online scams and staying safe in the digital world.

Cardinia Shire Mayor Brett Owen said it has been a challenging 18 months for anyone planning an event online, so the council has decided to run this year’s festival virtually.

“We know how much our older residents enjoy the Ageing Well Seniors Festival so we’ve pulled out all the stops to get the program online this year,” Cr Owen said.

“While we recognise it’s not the same as catching up with your friends in person, the beauty of the online festival is that you can watch the guest speakers at your own leisure, with a cuppa all in the comfort of your home.”

The seminars can be found on the Cardinia Shire Council website.
