Issue 28 of the Soil Moisture Monitoring (SMM) report is now available.
The SMM report details observations from the soil moisture monitoring project sites, which record real-time soil water content data for Victoria’s farmers.
Monitoring sites have been set up in cropping regions throughout the state by Agriculture Victoria.
The sites record soil water content at one source point from 30 centimetres down to one metre as a reference point for a paddock.
The SMM report provides a summary of the North East, South West, northern country and Gippsland cropping areas.
