Renowned Australian composer Kavisha Mazzella is set to lead a free singing workshop held by the Maryknoll Fire Choir.

The free workshop will be held on Sunday 27 November in Maryknoll’s Holy Family Church and is open to everyone.

“Anyone who loves to sing is invited to come along, and no experience is necessary,” Bernadette Cherry said.

The theme of the workshop is “the power of song” and participants will have the opportunity to learn Ms Mazzella’s composition ‘Sing for No One Sing for Everyone’.

Ms Cherry said the event was a great chance for people to become involved in the community and have some fun.

“Singing as a choir is so uplifting, and Kavisha has seen people be transformed from being in a choir. It is a fun, non-competitive, and life-giving activity that is not only good for your health but is great for the community’s mental health as well,” Ms Cherry said.

After the workshop, participants will have the opportunity to perform songs at the Fire Choir’s End of Year concert.

Ms Mazzella will also perform alongside the choir at their End of Year concert.
