Buses are replacing trains on several lines this afternoon (Tuesday 13 February), due to storm damage.

Metro services are impacted on sections of the Belgrave, Craigieburn, Cranbourne, Frankston, Glen Waverley, and Pakenham lines, as well as the V/Line services on sections of the Gippsland, Seymour and Shepparton lines.

“Replacement buses have been ordered, however will take over 60 minutes to arrive,” the Department of Transport and Planning said a statement.

“We ask passengers to check station platform displays, listen for announcements, and allow extra time for their journey.

“Motorists are asked to be vigilant for extra pedestrians and buses around all impacted train stations.

“Our signals team is monitoring conditions in the area and will adjust traffic lights to assist with bus movements.”
