The South Gippsland Highway was closed on Sunday 26 May between the Bass Highway and Lang Lang-Poowong Road, after a cattle truck rolled over near Kettles Road.
Ambulance Victoria reported that paramedics responded to this incident in Lang Lang at around 2.10am on 26 May.
A woman in her 30s was taken to Dandenong Hospital with upper body injuries, in a stable condition.
Animal Welfare Victoria attended for the cattle being transported, reports say that there were 70 cows that had to be euthanised. The surviving cattle were seen exiting the truck and wandering along the highway.
The highway was reopened later on Sunday.
