A new playground and shelter at Jim Parkes Reserve would soon start to take shape, with Cardinia Council marking the start of revitalisation works at the Jim Parkes Reserve in Beaconsfield.

Supported and funded by Cardinia Council and the State Government’s Growing Suburbs Fund, the project would deliver a new playground, open space, gathering areas, landscaping and a new shelter.

Cardinia Council Mayor Jack Kowarzik officially marked the construction at the site with South Eastern Metropolitan MP Michael Galea and Lee Tarlamis alongside Beacon Hills Ward councillor Brett Owen and Toomuc Ward councillor Stephanie Davies.

Cr Kowarzik said the council was grateful for the community’s input into the Jim Parkes Reserve Masterplan.

The reserve upgrade is expected to be completed by October 2024.
