The Bunyip Strikers continue to punch well above its weight.

After clinching yet another FFA Cup victory, this time a 2-1 victory against Old Camberwell Grammarians SC away from home on Saturday afternoon, the Strikers are in golden touch.

The FFA Cup – a national knockout tournament run by Football Federation Australia in conjunction with every state and territory member in the country – is one of the most highly-regarded soccer tournaments.

The Strikers now advance to Round 3 of the tournament, in what is a little bit of history for the State 5 club.

In the clash on Saturday, a few familiar names hit the scoresheet for the Strikers.

Down early away from home, the Strikers managed to find the back of the net just prior to half-time, with favourite son Jody Cooper finishing off a beautiful team goal.

But it came down to Mark Comini in the dying moments to seal win with a spectacular long range effort after the keeper came off his line to expose and open net on another memorable day for the club.

The Strikers will be hoping to continue its recent run of strong form with its next clash on Saturday 7 March, but the opponent is yet to be decided.
