Narre South Gold clinched a memorable DDCA junior girls competition premiership on Tuesday 3 March at home, defeating a brave Silverton unit in front of a strong crowd.

With the sun finally kind and peeking through for an excellent spectacle of cricket, the Lions made history in a fascinating battle between the two most consistent sides of the 2019/20 season.

After the Lions won the toss and sent the Bakers into bat, the visitors amassed a more than competitive 107 in their 17 overs despite some strong bowling from the Lions.

But the hungry Lions made little mistake running down the target and finishing on 4/140 in a memorable night for the club as it continues to build a seriously impressive female program at Strathaird Reserve.
