Cranbourne-trainer Natalie Young would love nothing better than to hoist her home cup for good this Saturday when the Cranbourne Turf Club (CTC) becomes the focus of the racing world.
The CTC will this Saturday host the very-first standalone running of the TAB Cranbourne Cup, a Listed $500,000 edition to be run over 1600-metres and telecast live on free-to-air television on channel seven.
Young, who trains in partnership with her husband Trent Busuttin, is sure to have a strong hand in the race which is growing in prestige every year.
The Cranbourne Cup begins a wonderful month of racing for our region, with the $300,000 Pakenham Cup (2500m) set down for Saturday, 4 December.
