Cranbourne Trainer Julius Sandhu is set to dazzle on Saturday at Caulfield with the local trainer having two runners featuring on C.F. Orr Stakes Day.

Sandhu’s first runner, Lofty Strike – who races in the Blue Diamond Prelude on Saturday – is currently unbeaten from one start.

The two-year-old knocked off his maiden status at his first start and is nominated to target the Blue Diamond classic in two weeks.

The colt will be looking to secure his place as a genuine contender for the richest two-year-old race in Victoria.

The Blue Diamond feature will be a step up in distance as it rises to 1200-metres for a cool $1,500,000 prize pool.

Sandhu’s second runner, Sharp Response, features in the third race on the card and is currently coming into its third run after a three week spell.

Sharp Response’s last run was at 1200-metres at Mooney Valley where he finished a fast-finishing third.

Sandhu has increased his distance to 1400 metres to target the mile moving forward.

The local trainer has had a stellar career since making the move to Australia and making the Cranbourne training facility his home base.

Sandhu has had a pretty successful time since making the move to Australia from Dubai.
