• Div 4 South White Thirds – Pakenham v Chelsea (16-6 win)

Pakenham White took on Chelsea this week with a lot of the senior boys missing we had a much younger looking side.

It took us a while to get going with the bat and hit the score card, but Brad Jones kept the opposition side quiet for the first few innings and gave us time to get our act together.

By the third inning the Puma team started to push runs over the plate, and blew the score out to a safe distance. Chelsea managed to get hold of Brad the third time they faced him, which got them within reach.

With one inning to play, we held a four-run lead, before the Pumas piled on the maximum seven runs to put the result out of reach. Luke Billing then closed out the game with a short inning care of great fielding.

Matt Howden made light work of a pop up in foul ground and a double play between Brad and Liam Hough at second combining with Harry Reid at first to end the game.

Pumas finished with an 11-run victory putting us narrowly behind the first placed team who we are facing this weekend.

• Junior League – Forfeit

• Little League Minor – Pakenham v Springvale (2 -2 draw)

Pakenham Minors took on first placed Springvale which haven’t lost a game all season.

This was always going to be a great challenge for our up and coming Pumas and they definitely took it to them.

Each and every Puma contributed either with the bat or in the field to scratch out a draw 2-2.

Every player should be very proud of themselves of how far they have come in a short period of time.

There are great signs ahead for this group of kids.
