Cranbourne Bowls

On Thursday the Mid-Week side-three team – playing in Division 3 – was far too strong for Chelsea in the grand final game winning by 18 shots across all rinks to take out the second premiership for the club this week.

Once again, it’s congratulations to the squad and we look forward to see how far this team can go over the next few weeks.

The number-one side won on two rinks in the semi-final against Narre Warren but unfortunately went down by 22 shots on the day.

Mid-week bowls results:

Side 1 – Division 2 Sec 6

Cranbourne played Narre Warren in the semi-final on Tuesday at Narre Warren.

The number-one side won on two rinks but unfortunately went down by 22 shots on the day.

This side has had an outstanding year and the players were given a great opportunity to play against some very strong sides in the competition and they did not let the club down. Congratulations on an outstanding year to all members of the team.

Side 3 – Division 3 Sec 7

Cranbourne defeated Dandenong Club by six shots in the semi-final on Tuesday with Skip Peter Colthup and his team putting in a very good performance that resulted in them having the opportunity to play off in the grand final on Thursday.

The grand final was played at Noble Park and the greens were running very nicely from the outset.

From the very start all three rinks were very determined to win this game and they did not disappoint the many supporters who went along to support them.

Cranbourne won from start to finish with the final scores being Cranbourne 60 to Chelsea 42.
