Devon Meadows will be a side to watch in Division 2 of the Mornington Peninsula Nepean Football League (MPNFL) in 2022 with a plethora of stars joining the Panthers in the off-season.

The Panthers finished sixth in 2021, with seven wins and six losses.

With the addition of Nick Battle and Brandon White, the Panthers should pounce on a top-four position.

Battle and White both made the AFL Outer East Team of the Year last season, for outstanding performances for Beaconsfield.

Battle was the winner of the Pakenham Gazette’s coaches award, remarkably polling in every single one of the Eagles games last year.

Devon Meadows will begin its season on Sunday April 3, when it hosts Pearcedale in a stand-alone fixture.

Langwarrin will be out to resurrect its missed opportunity last year, after the three grades – seniors, reserves and under-19’s suffered a collected five losses.

In the top flight of the MPNFL, Frankston YCW will be the side to pay entry for.

The Stonecats finished second on the ladder last year and have added some serious players to its mix in the off season.

YCW have signed former Saint Dylan Roberton, as well as the Cahill brothers – former Bomber Ned, and his brother James, who took out the Dandenong Stingrays best and fairest last season.

Division 1 kicks off this Saturday with Mt Eliza hosting Frankston Bombers at Emil Madsen Reserve.
