The top-four teams in the South West Gippsland Darts League all had wins in round nine opening up a nice little gap between themselves and the rest of the competition.
Just Social continued their brilliant unbeaten run, defeating Warriors 10-5, while second-placed Snipers kept the pressure on with the same score line over the bottom-placed Mud Rats.
The Rebels maintained their third ranking on the ladder with a convincing 11-4 victory over Middels, while Paky One have set up a crunch round-10 clash with the Warriors after scoring a 10-5 win over Gembrook.
Paky One currently sit in fourth place on the ladder, one game clear of the Warriors in fifth.
A win by Paky One will basically shut the door on the top four, while a Warriors victory will keep things very interesting in the run home to this year’s finals series.
The regular sharp-shooters continue to dominate this season, with Dean from Snipers hitting 55 tons in the first nine rounds of the season.
His Snipers teammate Aaron (43), and Thom from the Rebels (41) are his closest pursuers in the race for the most tons thrown this year.
Ant and Thom lead the way with two 180’s this season, while an early 158-peg out from Pez from Just Social is holding up as the best three-dart finish this year.
