Pakenham has secured its second win in a row as the Lions roared past Beaconsfield at James Bathe Reserve on Saturday.
The Lions trailed at the first break but quickly found their rhythm and momentum to keep the Eagles grounded.
Rose Laidlaw put on 36-goals for the Lions in the 55-32 win.
“We are learning to play with each other well and learning what needs to be done to ensure a win,” said Pakenham coach Matt Cooke.
“Our front-end is starting to finish off on the work that our defence is doing.
“Our defensive end was good and our front end still wasn’t as efficient as I would have liked them to be.
“We need to realise it’s about doing what you do well and not worrying about anything else.
“It’s also about making sure the guys inside the circle are doing what they need to do.
“The goal-scorers are learning their role and they are finishing which gives us confidence to ensure what we do is working.
“If they are passing and scoring well the whole process works and everything works a lot better.“
