Catani had a much-needed bye this week to regather to try and rebuild on a less than impressive start to the season.

Ex-Collingwood star and Brownlow Medallist Dane Swan donned the red, white and black of Nyora on Saturday but not even Swanny could help Nyora get the points as Lang Lang kicked 19.19 133 to the Saints 9.13 67 in the 66-point win.

Ellinbank had a 57-point win over Yarragon with inaccuracy costing the Eagles putting on more carnage as they kicked 19.18 132 to Yarragon’s 12.3 75.

Eagles Ben Wragg kicked five goals in his club’s cruisy win.

Trafalgar rubbed more salt on the already festering wound which is Nilma Darnum’s season. Nilma could only manage one goal two behind’s for the match. Trafalgar slicing open the Bombers defence with 27-goals of their own.

The Bombers winning by a monumental 175-points.

Blake Slater kicking six goals in the outrageous final score of 27.21 183 to 1.2 8.

Ladder leaders Neerim South had a battle on their hands when it faced Poowong away from home. The top-placed Neerim should have blown Poowong away with a final score of 9.17 with inaccuracy being the biggest issue.

Chris Urie kicked four goals for Neerim South in the 33-point win.

Longwarry played out a thriller with Buln Buln as it inched over the line by one point. Buln would be kicking and screaming in their dressing rooms as they kicked 7.17 59 to Longwarry’s 9.6 60.

Lyrebird’s Jake Pierrehumbert kicking two goals in his sides agonising one-point loss.

Inaccuracy was the biggest enemy on in a mixed round seven of Ellinbank District’s football.
