In one fell swoop the Wizards have climbed from ninth to fifth on the South West Gippsland Dart League (SWGDL) ladder after a crushing 12-3 victory over Fore.

The Wizards pushed third-placed Warriors all the way last week, eventually going down 9-6 in a hard-fought affair, and took that competitive form into their round-11 engagement.

The Wizards are still a long way from being competitive with the runaway leaders in the top-four, but they can do something about that over the next fortnight.

The Wizards (fifth) take on Rebels (eighth) and Mud Rats (sixth) in rounds 12 and 13 and two wins will see that current significant gap start to close.

All games in round-11 were relatively one sided, with top-team Just Social flexing its muscles strongest with a dominant 13-2 victory over Bullseyes.

After a slow start to the season the Bullseyes had shown improved form in recent times but certainly met their match against the undefeated ladder-leaders.

Troy Jackson from Just Social provided one of the highlights of the night with a 112-peg out, the fourth highest in the SWGDL this season.

His teammate Terry was also on song, throwing six tons for the evening.

Two of the big guns of the SWGDL, Dean and Aaron, also had huge nights out with their great play leading the Snipers to a 12-3 victory over Rebels.

Dean scored seven tons for the night, taking his season-tally to a league-leading 71, while Aaron matched Dean’s total of seven to remain in second place on 54.

Tim, also from Snipers, is in third place on 52.

In the remaining two matches, Warriors remain in third place after a 10-5 victory over Mud Rats, while Paky One continued its solid recent form with an 11-4 win over Gembrook.

Paky One defeated Bullseyes in the same fashion in round-10 and remains in fourth position, just one win behind Snipers and Warriors in second and third.

Paky One has the ideal opportunity to consolidate its healthy position with a round-12 match against Mud Rats.

Spectators are most welcome to attend the Tuesday-night matches in the SWGDL, with games beginning at 7.30pm at the home of darts – the Cardinia Club in Pakenham.
