The South West Gippsland Midweek Bowling group headed to the beautiful Lang Lang Bowls Club last Thursday to take part in the weekly challenge.
A solid turnout of 25 keen players soon had a smile on their face after being met with scones for breakfast from the lovely Bev.
What a brilliant way to start the day.
The weather was cool but dry and the atmosphere – as always – was happy and joyful.
The bowling was exceptionally good, but that didn’t stop the laughter and banter from all quarters.
The green was in tip-top condition but the entire day was a bit tricky with the gusty wind, but it certainly was no deterrent to the quality bowling from most, if not all of the players.
Today there was only one two-game winner which just goes to show how close the opposition was.
The weekly winners were Mark Andreatta (S), Gillian Harper (3) and Shirley Corcoran (L).
Runners up were Michael Dady (S), Laurie Bell (3) and Michael Saunders (L).
Best One Game winners were John Nicholson (S), David Talbot (3) and Ruth Waring (L).
Once again the group would like to thank Peter, Pauline and John for all the hard work they put in every week of the year.
A big thank you also goes to Vicki and Gillian behind the bar as well as Bev and Gillian in the kitchen.
