Devon Meadows winning start to the MPFNL Division 2 season has continued against Bonbeach, winning 11.14 80 to 6.6 42.

The Panthers came hard in the second quarter, kicking four goals to one after falling behind by six points at the first break.

After a dour third quarter where the Sharks found their way back into it courtesy of poor inside 50 entries to the Panthers, the visitors scored five in the final term, standing up when it mattered.

In a highly-contested game, Joel Hillis’ stirring midfield form was influential and kicked three goals, while youngsters Ryan Koo and Jack Wilson provided spark.

Patrick Ryder still found a way to take 10 marks and kick two despite being reasonably contained for much of the day.

The Panthers sit on top of the ladder three rounds in, and will clash the winless Karingal this week to keep the streak going.
