THERE is a new face at Bayles Regional Primary School and he brings a wealth of knowledge and experience with him.
Mat Anderton said he was excited to start work at the primary school as its new principal after his position as assistant principal at Clayton North Primary School for four years.
The new principal said the move was the next adventure in his career.
“I have had a great start at Bayles regional and look forward to working with our staff, parents and students to make this school even better,” he said.
“My educational philosophy is that students are given the opportunity to pursue their passions and interests to enhance their knowledge of the world.”
“I strongly believe that there needs to be a blend of student-centred and teacher-directed learning happening in classrooms.”
He mentioned a project the school has signed up to recently called New Pedagogies for Deep Learning.
“Our teachers will be investigating ways of teaching using technology to develop 21 century skills,” he said.
