OVER 20 Men’s Shed groups met up in Lang Lang last week to launch a new healthy eating program.
Around 75 shedders from across West and South Gippsland came together at the Lang Lang Hall on Thursday 20 November to test out the “Shed Tucker” program which incorporates health options into their regular social barbecues.
“The “Shed Tucker” project aims to make the plain sausage sizzle lunch healthier by adding multigrain bread and a salad topping,” Monash Health Community’s Healthy Promotion Practitioner Marlene Dalziel said.
The men were joined by former Essendon football and health champion Simon Madden who was the guest speaker at the launch.
