A SERIAL road pest who allegedly took off from police on nine separate occasions has been caught and is facing a string of separate serious charges.
More than two months ago, police put out a public assistance call for a motorcyclist endangering lives on a 2012-’13 yellow Aprilia RSV4 with false Queensland registration plates.
Police said the man they believed responsible for recklessly endangering lives on local roads including Officer and Beaconsfield was recently caught and was being remanded in custody.
The 25-year-old Pakenham man was located by police attending an assault within the week.
A warrant issued on the man’s home allegedly uncovered stolen firearms, ammunition and a stolen Toyota Hilux.
He is also being charged over an aggravated burglary and dangerous driving offences.
Cardinia Highway Patrol Sergeant Rob Atkinson said the man’s bike, valued at $20,000, had not been located.
He said the man, who has 76 traffic offences against his name, admitted to giving the bike away.
He will be charged with handling stolen goods in relation to the motorbike.
Police issued a separate warrant on a property related to the investigation where weapons, drugs and a stolen boat and trailer were uncovered.
Police detectives are investigating the finding.
The Pakenham man is expected to be remanded in custody to appear at the Dandenong Magistrates’ Court at a later date.
Sgt Atkinson thanked the public for their assistance in locating the man.
“Information provided by a reader led to him being processed,” he said.
