A DIRTBIKE rider looking to cash in on his unwanted bike has been left empty-handed after thieves pinched it from his home before he managed to close a deal.
Between 6pm on Wednesday 26 August and 7.30am on Thursday 27 August, the shed located at the man’s property at Kenilworth Avenue in Officer was broken into, with thieves taking off with the 2013 KTM450 bike.
The victim told police the unregistered dirtbike was listed for sale on Gumtree, priced at $6000.
Police believe the bike was removed from the shed, the roller door forced open, and wheeled away along the Officer street.
