THE Pakenham train line has been thrown into chaos following a major disruption in Berwick earlier this afternoon, Tuesday 13 October.
Metro advised commuters that buses would be replacing trains between Dandenong and Pakenham station due to a faulty train detected in Berwick.
Crews are working to clear the faulty train from the line, however commuters are expected to be delayed by up to 40 minutes as a result.
Late night commuters should also expect delays for the rest of the week, with planned works due for the rest of the week.
Metro will be working to maintain overhead wiring along the line from 9pm on Monday 12 until Thursday 15 October.
Buses will replace trains during the four-day suspension.
Replacement services are due to increase journey travel times by up to 40 minutes.
