Grants back natural resources

Landcare grants are currently available.

APPLICATIONS are now invited from local Landcare networks and community-based natural resource management groups for the PPWCMA Community Grants.
But time is running out – applications close on 19 October.
Each year the Port Phillip and Westernport Catchment Management Authority (PPWCMA) co-ordinates the grants for community groups and volunteer-based organisations to support the important work they undertake in the region.
These grants deliver a variety of projects and activities that improve the health of the environment.
Grants of up to $30,000 per project are possible drawing on $250,000 in funding from the regional delivery stream of the Australian Government’s National Landcare Programme and $184,000 from the State Government’s Victorian Landcare Grants.
Port Phillip and Westernport CMA CEO David Buntine praised the work of local community groups across the region.
“We’re proud to support the many Landcare and other community-based groups which develop and deliver great local projects that protect our land, water and biodiversity.”
Those interested in applying can view the criteria and application forms at ppwcma.vic.gov.au under the Funding and Grants, Community Grants section.
